HANDY AND POWERFUL
DKP181 is a compact yet powerful planer equipped with a brushless motor. It can reach a planing depth of 3 mm, planing width of 82 mm and a shiplapping depth of 25 mm. This makes the machine handy when shortening communicating doors or tapering mouldings, for example.
The planing depth can be set effortlessly and precisely with the rubberized adjustment knob, that has click stops and a easy-to-read scale. Chip ejection can be adjusted to either side of the machine for the operator's convenience.

ERGONOMIC AND CLEAN WORKING
DKP181 also features an ergonomically designed and rubberized handle, that provides comfort and control while minimizing hand fatigue. Automatic torque Drive Technology (ADT) makes operating DKP181 even more optimal, as it automatically changes the cutting speed according to load conditions.
The machine is easily connectable to Makita vacuum cleaners and dust bag assemblies. Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) enables the machine to be connected wirelessly to a cleaner and the cleaner can be operated automatically along with the switch operation of the tool. These factors make it easy to keep the work area clean and safe.
